Olivia, Roberta, Millie and Myself discussed why we wanted to enter the industry and pursue film directing. Our reasonings were:

Current position Voice and dialect coach
How did they obtain the role/position? She came into this profession by retraining at Central in the Master of Voice Studies
Previous experience/education/training: First experience was at the Gate Theatre at Notting Hill -
'The life and time of comrade fiasco'. Also trained by Barbara Houseman.
Previous Career: Was a performer for 20 years, worked at the National on Ma Rainey's Black bottom'
Any significant advice?
- Experience in rehearsal rooms help you become better with your communication skills
- Learn how your instrument works
- Put her own voice under scrutiny
- Need to get over your own judgement before you can help others.

Current position Working actress in tv
How did they obtain the role/position? Writing to casting directors so they view her theatre shows.
Previous experience/education/training: Regularly trains to make sure she is prepared for any role, Character in Citizen Khan,

- Good to be specific
- Be pragmatic
- Write to people
- Request their see your work or show reel
- Its okay not to know what you want to do
- Know what you want for yourself
- Remain well trained
- Channel your humanity towards the character you've been hired to defend
- Remember your purpose
- Be aware of the camera
- Remember your lines
- Don't be late
- Be professional
